Oyo gets new Police Commissioner
Mr. Abiodun Adekunle Odude has been posted to head Oyo State police command.
The development followed the retirement of CP Samuel Adegbuyi from the Nigerian Police Force.
A statement issued late Friday by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Adekunle Ajisebutu, described the new helmsman as an officer ready to serve his fatherland and provide adequate security in Oyo state
The new CP, an alumnus of the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife) graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Demography and statistics in 1983.
The release added that the new CP has served in various capacities, including, pioneer staff member of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Ajisebutu said: “He served in the Intelligence Department, Zone 2, Lagos State as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the CIID, Panti, Yaba; he was Commissioner of Police, Administration; department of finance and Admin, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
