PAKISTAN Ambassador in Nigeria, Umer Farooq has expressed optimism that the Federal Government would ensure safe return of Chibok girls to their parents.

Farooq, who expressed this optimism at a female empowerment programme in Lagos titled ‘Educate a girl,’ said the disappearance of the girls had been tragic for the nation and the girls, maintaining that it is the obligation of all nations to support Nigeria and help in their rescue.

He said he was positive the girls would eventually be able to exercise their rights of freedom, as the captivity they are will not change their minds.

His words: “Apparently the girls are going through a traumatic experience but I know that will not change their minds and they deserve our sympathy and support. I know those who believe in justice would put in their best so that the girls would be free and return to their parents,” he stressed.
