OSUN State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to make public the outcome of
the recent staff audit conducted by the state government to determine the correct number of work force and the true monthly wage bill.

The party said it was curious the governor Rauf Aregbesola-led administration kept quiet on the staff audit exercise after its conclusion and commenced payment of outstanding workers’ salaries without allowing Osun people to know the controversial wage bill status

In a statement yesterday by Prince Diran Odeyemi, the party’s Director of Media and Strategy, the party said there was a lot to worry about the state wage bill in view of its implication on the state economy.

“We have reasons to believe that the government is trying to hide something on the wage bill. Many fictitious names said to be Lagos based supporters of governor Aregbesola were added to genuine workers in the state and have since been receiving salaries,” the PDP alleged.

“Rather than debunk this accusation with rhetorics we challenge the state government to publish unedited the report of the recently
concluded screening exercise it conducted.
