Former Anambra State governor defied rumours of a heart attack Wednesday by appearing in court for the inaugural sitting of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal in Abuja.
Daily Independent claimed on Tuesday evening reported that the running mate to the People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate in Nigeria’s last presidential poll had a heart attack was rushed to Odumegwu-Ojukwu Teaching Hospital at Awka.
The report claimed that a media aide to the former governor Valentine Obienyem confirmed that he was rushed to the hospital.
Obi, however, appeared in court on Wednesday without any sign of indisposition.
