The Chief Information Officer (CIO) and C-Suite Conference and Awards Africa convener, Abiola Laseinde, have pledged to impact and demonstrate the capacity of African leaders through its seventh edition of the continental recognition platform.

According to the award platform, the edition would drive innovation and transformation across industries.

In a statement to announce the entry nomination, it stated that such nomination aimed at honouring excellence in technology and executive leadership across Africa.

It hinted that the nominations for the 2026 edition opened on May 1 and will run until June 30, with entries expected from 15 African countries including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana and Egypt.

The awards platform, which debuted in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, said it has continued to recognise executives and organisations driving digital transformation and innovation across the continent.

Convener of the awards, Abiola Laseinde, described the initiative as a platform owned by the African technology community.

According to her, every nomination reflects a story of impact and demonstrates the capacity of African leaders to drive innovation and transformation across industries.

She said this year’s edition will spotlight leaders and organisations advancing innovation in sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, healthtech, agritech, cleantech and energy, artificial intelligence and data, education, media, telecommunications, and technology services.

Chairman of the awards, Oluwakayode Adigun, said the initiative has evolved from what began as a bold idea during a period of global uncertainty into one of Africa’s respected platforms for recognising leadership in technology and enterprise.

He noted that each edition has recorded increased participation and wider continental reach, reflecting the growth of Africa’s digital ecosystem and the emergence of transformative leaders across sectors.
