NAN reports that Hajiya Aisha Adamu, wife of the Director of Finance of in the Bagudu Local Government Area of Kebbi, Alhaji Adamu Birnin-Yauri, was abducted on Monday by gunmen in Yauri.
The acting AIG gave the assurance during an inspection tour of the Kebbi State Police Command in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.
He said the police were informed of the kidnapping on Tuesday and that the command would put machinery in motion to rescue the woman alive.
The Yauri Emirate Council had complained earlier that it had been facing increasing cases of abductions.
