THE National Amir (leader) of Ahmadiyyah Muslim Jama’at of Nigeria, Dr. Masshood Aderenle Fashola has disclosed that politicians breed terrorists, both at the global and national levels.

He noted that politicians have politicised religion and are misleading ignorant faithful to kill and maim innocent citizens.

Dr. Fashola made this observation at Ahmadiyyah College, Kano, while speaking to journalists. He maintained that the Middle East crisis came up as a result of political power.

He said: “What is going on in Nigeria is that politicians are using religion and they are deceiving people. But they cooperate when they want to loot the nation. They won’t talk religion and they won’t talk of tribal differences.

“If you look at it critically, the terror group in the country was originally raised by politicians. And when they abandoned the youths, the youth would in turn take up arms and become something else.”

According to him compelling people to follow a particular religion is a great injustice.
