The Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN) has decried the inability of the armed forces, the police and other paramilitary agencies, as well as the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS), to secure Nigerian borders against food smuggling, trafficking and contrabands.
President of the association, Mr. Ezekiel Ibrahim Mam, who disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The Guardian, said the Nigerian borders are too porous and wide, urging the government to make made-in-Nigeria products competitive by improving on electric power generation and distribution and ease of doing business, among others.
