Pray for Nigeria’s peace, cleric urges Christians, Muslims

The Planter of Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Prophet Sam Olu Alo

The Planter of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, Sam Olu Alo, has called on Christians and Muslims to set aside their differences and unite in prayer ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Prophet Alo made the appeal during the ongoing Ramadan and Lenten season, stressing the need for peace, love, and harmony in the country, especially as Nigeria prepares for another electoral cycle.

In a statement issued by his Personal Assistant, Hon. Deji Ogunbusuyi, the cleric reminded Nigerians of the importance of unity and stability as the nation gears up for a crucial democratic exercise.

According to him, the current period of fasting and reflection offers a unique opportunity for citizens to seek divine guidance and intervention for the country.

He urged Nigerians to pray for their leaders, the electoral process, and the overall well-being of the nation.

Prophet Alo described the 2027 general elections as a test of Nigeria’s democratic maturity, noting that unity and prayer are vital to ensuring peaceful coexistence.

He emphasised that peace, love, and harmony remain essential ingredients for national progress and development.

He therefore called on citizens to shun violence, hatred, and divisive rhetoric, and instead focus on building a united and prosperous nation.

“By praying for peace and harmony, Nigerians can create a better future for themselves and generations to come,” he said.

The cleric also extended goodwill to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Southwest governors, particularly Abiodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, traditional rulers, and other Nigerian leaders.

He urged them to place the nation’s interest above all else, especially during the fasting season.

He further advised leaders to prioritise the welfare of citizens and work towards building a just and equitable society, noting that doing so would earn them the trust and confidence of the people while creating a conducive environment for sustainable development.
