businessThe Provost of Adeyemi College of Education, (ACE) Ondo, Prof. Olukoya Ogen, has urged Nigerian scholars to seek constantly for global outreach and intellectual development, in order to enhance their career.

Prof. Ogen gave the advice recently in a workshop sponsored by the United Kingdom/Economic and Social Research Council (UK/E.S.R.C) themed: “Writing Research Proposals for Fellowship and Grants.”

At the event held in the Management Information System (MIS) building of the institution, the Provost described the theme of the workshop as apt and lauded its organisers and the UK/ESRC for giving the institution the opportunity to host it.

He stressed the importance of international collaboration in knowledge transfer, which according to him, would tremendously improve on the educational values and promote mutual bilateral relationship of the countries involved.

Ogen said through participation in seminars and conferences outside the frontiers of their institutions, Nigerian students would be able to acquire knowledge, gain exposure, compete favourably with their contemporaries and afford them global recognition.
