Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State, along with military officers, prepared to conduct a parade, are awaiting the arrival of the late Muhammadu Buhari’s body from London at the Katsina airport.
The former president’s body departed London earlier in the day aboard a Nigerian Air Force aircraft, heading to his hometown of Daura for burial.
Radda and the military officials coordinated security and ceremonial arrangements to ensure a dignified reception befitting Buhari’s decades-long service to the nation, both as a military ruler and civilian president.
The Federal Government has declared a full state burial and announced Tuesday as a public holiday in his honor, with a seven-day national mourning period in effect.
