Real Warri Pikin unveiled as PURNA Gummies ambassador, calls for free maternal healthcare

As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to mark the International Day of the Girl Child, state governments have been called upon to offer free medical, antenatal, delivery, and postnatal services for women and children.

Multiple award-winning stand-up comedian and wellness advocate, Anita Asuoha (Real Warri Pikin), stated this in Abuja at her official unveiling as brand ambassador of PURNA Gummies Nigeria.

The Guardian reports that the event featured the launch of Mama Bear Gummies, a new health supplement aimed at improving the well-being of pregnant and nursing mothers.

According to the actor and influencer, access to quality healthcare should not be a privilege but a fundamental right for every woman and child, regardless of their socio-economic status.

She emphasised that many women, especially in rural areas, face life-threatening challenges during pregnancy and childbirth due to the high cost of medical care. She called on other states to emulate Delta State, which offers free medical care for all pregnant women and children under five.

The comedian, who is also an expectant mother, encouraged women across Nigeria to incorporate Purna Gummies into their daily wellness routines.

In particular, the wellness advocate highlighted Mama Bear Prenatal Gummies, describing them as Nigeria’s first NAFDAC-certified prenatal vitamin gummies specially designed to support expectant mothers.

Asuoha said the initiative aligns with her commitment to wellness and maternal health.

“It’s often difficult for women, especially those above 30, to keep up with pills and supplements. This offers an easier and more convenient option,” she said.

She advised women to take prenatal and postnatal care seriously, stressing the importance of proper nutrition during pregnancy and after childbirth.

The entertainer explained that these gummies provide essential vitamins and nutrients that promote healthy fetal development, boost maternal immunity, and help reduce common pregnancy-related fatigue.

Beyond their nutritional value, she emphasised that the availability of such certified gummies represents a major step forward for maternal wellness in Nigeria, adding that expectant mothers can now access a safe, convenient, and enjoyable supplement option that aligns with international health standards.

Also speaking, Purna Customer Care Representative, Roseline Okpara, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to promoting better health outcomes for women and children across Nigeria through safe, science-backed nutrition.

She said the supplement was designed to make vitamin intake easier for women, adding that PURNA Gummies Nigeria was established to bridge the gap between wellness and accessibility by providing high-quality supplements that meet international standards while remaining affordable for the average Nigerian family.

“It contains essential nutrients required to keep both mother and child healthy,” she stated.

For his part, Managing Director of the firm, Dr Everest Okpara, noted that the company’s partnership with Real Warri Pikin marks a significant milestone in advancing maternal and child health advocacy in Nigeria.

According to him, the collaboration is not only about promoting a product but also about driving conversations around preventive healthcare and empowering women to make informed choices about their well-being.

Dr Okpara said the goal is to ensure that every Nigerian mother — regardless of location or financial status — has access to reliable nutritional support and health information that can save lives.

He reiterated PURNA’s long-term vision of becoming a trusted household name in the wellness sector, adding that the company would continue to invest in innovation, quality assurance, and community engagement to promote a healthier Nigeria.
