Refugees’ commission flays murder of UN aid workers

The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons yesterday lamented the killing of United Nations (UN) humanitarian workers in Borno.
The Federal Commissioner, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, in a statement, described the act as callous, cognisant of the fact that the deceased died while serving humanity.
Signed by her Special Assistant on Media, Halima Musa, the statement noted that humanitarian personnel ought not to be target of any attacks.Farouq condoled with the UN, International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Federal Government on the unfortunate incident, describing the loss as irreplaceable.
She said: “The National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Farouk remains resolute in discharging its responsibilities of providing assistance and support for persons of concern.”
