Ribadu’s influence will deliver Adamawa for Tinubu in 2027 — APC Aspirant

The National Security Adviser to President Bola Tinubu, Nuhu Ribadu

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress All Progressives Congress and senatorial aspirant for Adamawa Central, Alhaji Aliyu Abbati, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will face no serious political challenge in Adamawa state ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking to journalists in Yola on Monday, Abbati expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu Bola Tinubu would secure overwhelming support in the state, despite Adamawa being the home state of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who is associated with the African Democratic Congress African Democratic Congress.

Abbati attributed his optimism largely to the influence of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, an indigene of Adamawa, whom he described as a key factor strengthening the President’s popularity in the state.

“My advice to the President is to focus his campaign on other states because, in Adamawa, Ribadu has already secured victory for him,” Abbati said.

He further argued that the Tinubu administration had ensured what he described as unprecedented federal representation for Adamawa State through strategic appointments. He cited the recent appointment of Abdulrazak Namdas Abdulrazak Namdas as Director-General of the Border Communities Development Agency.

Abbati said such appointments had strengthened local confidence in the administration, adding that Adamawa had “never had it this good” in terms of federal presence.

He also praised the establishment of the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development Federal Ministry of Livestock Development and the appointment of an Adamawa indigene to lead it, describing the initiative as a major step toward unlocking agricultural and livestock wealth in the region.

“As an economist and agricultural policy strategist, I understand the enormous wealth that can be generated through the livestock sector,” he said, adding that the ministry could significantly boost rural economies and create jobs.

Abbati further argued that economic empowerment in rural communities would contribute to reducing insecurity, insisting that unemployment remains a key driver of criminal activity.

He urged Nigerians to support the Tinubu administration, claiming that opposition to its policies is largely driven by elite dissatisfaction rather than popular discontent.

On security, he called for greater adoption of modern technology and suggested that rural communities be temporarily empowered to defend themselves under controlled conditions, pending full implementation of community policing frameworks.

“Government alone cannot tackle insecurity because some criminals are members of the communities,” he noted, calling for stronger collaboration between traditional rulers, local government authorities, and security agencies.

Describing the Tinubu administration as one of the most impactful in recent times, he urged Nigerians to cooperate with government efforts toward national development.
