Ride-hailing firm expands, promises safe operations

GoSharp, an e-hailing platform developed by Zeeck Digital Concept Ltd, said it has expanded across Africa, now operating in more than 20 countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The company said it has onboarded over 400 active drivers and facilitated thousands of safe rides, signalling strong adoption and reliability since its launch in April 2024. Its platform features real-time ride tracking, AI-powered driver matching, multilingual support, and in-app emergency alerts—raising the bar for ride-hailing services in emerging markets.

“What makes GoSharp compelling is its design for African realities,” said founder and CEO, Samuel Zion. “We built a resilient, context-aware platform. Our drivers keep 100 per cent of fares in their first week, and our pricing remains affordable even in low-income neighbourhoods.”

Zion said the firm is well placed to bridge first- and last-mile transport gaps, particularly in underserved cities and rural areas. The company’s expansion strategy, he added, is focused on boosting economic activity and widening access to jobs, healthcare, and education.

He said GoSharp plans to introduce micro-transit solutions, electric vehicle integrations, and corporate ride packages tailored for healthcare providers, schools, and government agencies.

“GoSharp isn’t just offering rides—it is delivering safer, smarter, and more equitable mobility, while proving that African innovation can solve African transportation challenges,” Zion said.
