The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Tuesday continued to receive condolence visits from relatives, associates, and political leaders following the passing of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
Among those who paid tribute was Hon. Kefiano Kefas Ropshik, who described the late matriarch as a woman of deep faith, dignity, and positive influence. He noted that Mama Lydia’s values are evident in the life and leadership style of Prof. Yilwatda.
“This loss is not just for the Yilwatda family but for the wider community she touched with her kindness and wisdom. We stand with you in this moment of grief, offering our prayers and solidarity,” Ropshik said.
Also on the condolence visit was Senator Atai Aidoko, a two-time senator, former House of Representatives member, and one of the founding figures of the APC. He extolled Mama Lydia’s exemplary life, describing her as a model of discipline and service whose legacy would inspire generations.
In his response, Prof. Yilwatda expressed appreciation to the visitors for their show of love and solidarity, noting that their presence and comforting words brought relief to his family during this painful period.
