Rotary Club Onigbongbo targets more projects for youths, community
The newly-installed 40th President, Rotary Club of Onigbongbo, Oluseyi Adebusuyi Adetunji, has vowed to embark on projects that would showcase the club and put smiles on faces of students and the community.
Adetunji said the projects, which fall within the Rotary International programmes, include the ongoing reconstruction and renovation of a block of toilets worth N3.5 million at Estate Primary School, Ogba, Lagos; construction of a health centre at Irawo for N25 million and renovation of sciences and agricultural laboratories at Immaculate Junior Secondary School, Maryland, Lagos, for N25 million, among others.
Besides, Adetunji said the club would sponsor about 65 youths for Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) programme and also raise not less than $10,000 for the District Endowment and Welfare Fund (DEWEF). He promised to encourage every member of the club to donate maximally to Rotary Foundation.
The President also promised to focus on membership drive during his tenure. He, therefore, urged all to support the cause of humanity by donating to the Rotary Foundation, assuring that their money would be judiciously utilised.
Chairman, Investiture Committee, Razaq Babatunde Salau, who prayed for a smooth tenure for the president, said he believes that the tenure of Adetunji would supersede that of his predecessors.
