Rotary Clubs donate health facilities to delta community

Rotary and Rotaract Clubs in Delta State have donated healthcare facilities valued at several millions of naira to Ugbolu community and its environs.
The Rotary clubs of Asaba Government House, Asaba Downtown, Okpanam Hilltop, Issele-Azagba Uptown and Asaba Bonsaac and their Junior, Rotaract, under District 9141 Nigeria, yesterday carried out a-four in one project at Ugbolu Primary Healthcare Centre in Oshimili North Local Council of the state.

The clubs freely donated mattresses, pillows/pillow cases, bedspreads, window curtains, hand hygiene materials and sanitary waste bins to the people.
The clubs also planted economic trees to protect the environment, aside from clearing overgrown weeds within the premises of the healthcare facilities to enhance patients’ wellbeing.

Assistant Governor of Zone 22, Rtn. Peter Itawansa, said the gesture was in line with the vision of Rotary clubs globally, which has to do with the uplifting of humanity.

Itawawansa, who performed the symbolic planting of coconut trees at the health centre, noted that the project would help to cushion the challenges mothers pass through during and after childbirth.
