Ruth Foundation completes third outreach in Ejigun, celebrates 15 successful initiatives

Ruth Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by Ruth Itunuoluwa Da-Silva, successfully completed its third outreach in the Ejigun Community, Ikola, on August 10, 2024. This event is part of a broader initiative that includes more than 15 successful projects aimed at fostering moral and ethical education among children.

The outreach program began with a moment of reflection and a praise and worship session that set the tone for the day’s activities. Ruth Itunuoluwa Da-Silva, the foundation’s founder, delivered the opening address, emphasizing the organization’s mission to “reach and raise kingdom children through our empowerment, discovery, and developmental activities across all spheres.” She reiterated the importance of instilling strong moral principles at an early age, a commitment that has been at the core of the foundation’s efforts.

Throughout the day, children participated in various activities designed to reinforce essential values such as honesty, respect, and kindness. The memory verse session and a creative exercise that taught positive messages through song were particularly popular, helping the children internalize these values in an engaging manner.

The event also featured breakout sessions focusing on practical life skills. These sessions, led by experienced facilitators, covered topics such as hygiene, financial responsibility, and self-worth, with separate discussions tailored for boys and girls. In the second round of sessions, children explored themes like discovering their purpose and setting personal goals, encouraging them to think critically about their future and the importance of making moral choices.

The day concluded with a lively dance challenge, reflective prayers, and blessings from community leaders. Each child received a party pack, serving as both a memento of the event and a reminder of the day’s lessons.

In her closing remarks, Ruth Itunuoluwa Da-Silva reflected on the foundation’s journey, celebrating the completion of over 15 initiatives that have positively impacted communities across Ogun State. “As we mark this milestone, we remain dedicated to nurturing the next generation, ensuring that these children grow up with the values they need to lead fulfilling and responsible lives,” she stated.

The third edition of the Ejigun Community outreach was not only a success but also a testament to Ruth Foundation’s enduring commitment to the moral and ethical development of children in the region.
