…Expands into Nigeria with new Lagos operations hub
Global tools and accessories manufacturer, SALI Tools has pledged to improve delivery timelines and customer support within the region.
The firm made this pledge while announcing its official entry to the Nigerian market with the establishment of a local office and warehouse operation in Lagos, as the company moves to strengthen its presence across West Africa.
The firm noted that the expansion, which began in early 2026, includes the formation of a local operational team made up of both Chinese and Nigerian staff.
According to the company, the team has already commenced engagement with distributors and major hardware markets within Lagos as part of efforts to better understand the needs of local users and industry operators.
The company said the Lagos warehouse will serve as a distribution and support center for Nigeria and nearby markets.
SALI introduced its metal cutting discs and grinding wheel products into the Nigerian market as part of its initial product rollout.
The company stated that the products have received international certifications including MPA, EN12413, and other European safety standards commonly required within industrial tool manufacturing.
The company noted that it operates large-scale abrasive production facilities with an annual output estimated at 150 million cutting and grinding discs adding that tts products are currently distributed across multiple international markets, with the company attributing its growth to supply chain expansion, manufacturing scale, and quality control systems.
Chairman of SALI Tools, Peter Hu, said the decision reflects the company’s long-term interest in the African market.
“Nigeria is one of the most important industrial and commercial markets in Africa. We believe there is strong potential for long-term growth, especially within construction, manufacturing, metal processing, and infrastructure development,” he said.
Hu added that the company’s approach in Nigeria would focus on building local partnerships and improving service delivery rather than operating solely as an export business.
“We are not approaching the market only from a sales perspective. Our goal is to build a localized support structure that allows distributors and customers to access products more efficiently while also receiving technical and operational support where necessary,” he said.
Nigeria’s construction and manufacturing sectors have continued to drive demand for industrial tools and hardware products, particularly within infrastructure projects, fabrication, automotive repair, and small-scale manufacturing operations.
SALI said it is currently exploring partnerships with local agents, wholesalers, and hardware retailers as part of its expansion plans within the country.
According to Hu, the company intends to deepen local engagement over time through distribution partnerships and improved operational presence.
“We see localisation as an important part of sustainable growth. Building relationships with local businesses and understanding the realities of the market are necessary for long-term success,” he added.
