New Generation of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ondo State chapter, has urged Nigerians to rescue the country by voting for Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, at the presidential election on Saturday.

Publicity Secretary of the group, Ifedayo Bamidele, disclosed this, yesterday, during the second phase of the mop-up campaign in Akure, to solicit support for Atiku and other PDP candidates in the state.

Members of the group use opportunity of the campaign in Oja Oba Market, Oja Oshodi Market and Shasha Market to explain why Atiku is the right person to take the people out of hopelessness.

Coordinator of the group, David Daudu, while addressing the traders at Oja Oba and Oja Oshodi, empathised with the people over the current hardship in the country under the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said: “I am standing before you today with a clear understanding of your pains. I have relatives in this market and I know their yearnings.”

I know how the policies of the APC administration have taken many out of business. I can feel your pain and can only pray for succour.

“The relief you are all hoping for can only be met by only one candidate, Atiku. He has a clear path to the development of our country and understands where the shoe pinches and knows the balm to take away the pain. He has promised to unite and restructure the country, provide adequate security for all and sundry, resuscitate our ailing economy and revamp our educational system. He is a unifier.”

Addressing the traders in Shasha market, who are mostly Northerners, he encouraged them to come out en masse to cast their vote for the PDP.
