Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to be the special guest of honour at the anniversary to mark the centenary celebration of First Baptist Church, Kosofe, Lagos. Also expected among other dignitaries is the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention, Reverend Israel Adelani Akanji.
Speaking during a press briefing on the anniversary, the church’s Resident Pastor, Rev Festus Idowu Olatunde said: “The event is going to be a week-long event. From October 13 to 20 2024, the First Baptist Church, Kosofe, Lagos will celebrate its centennial anniversary and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is expected to attend the grand finale.”
He explained that the centennial anniversary will begin on October 13 with societies’ anniversary because the societies make up the church.
