The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has pledged to deepen its longstanding relationship with Nigeria and expand humanitarian cooperation as it marked its 95th National Day in Kano.
Saudi Consul General in Kano, Khalil Ahmed Al-Admawi, reaffirmed the Kingdom’s readiness to strengthen its six-decade partnership with Nigeria during a celebration attended by diplomats, government officials, and community leaders.
Al-Admawi highlighted Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian contributions, including the successful separation of two sets of Nigerian conjoined twins under the Saudi Conjoined Twins Program at King Abdulaziz Hospital in Riyadh.
The programme, sponsored by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre, has performed 66 successful separations for patients from 27 countries over the past 35 years.
