Alumni association seeks support for Agunloye
The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Olu Falae, has promised that the party would employ over 100,000 youths in one year if elected.
He made the promise in Akure yesterday, when he presented the party’s governorship candidate, Dr. Olu Agunloye and his running mate, Modupe Akindele-Martins.
Falae condemned the non-payment of civil servants salaries and the pension and gratuity of retired workers.

According to him, the SDP had mapped out a state’s apprenticeship scheme that would ensure that the youths are gainfully employed.
He condemned the moribund condition of industries in the state and the decay of infrastructure, which have created massive unemployment.
Agunloye, who traced his ancestral link to the Akoko lineage in Owo and Akure metropolis, promised that he would build on the sustainable projects of his predecessors in office.
He said: “Whatever is good in the past government of the late Adebayo Adefarati, Dr Olusegun Agagu and the current governor, Olusegun Mimiko, would not be discarded.
“I will only review and rectify past policies that are not beneficial to the people. I will continue with the beneficial projects and build on them with my goodwill, integrity and love for the people.”
He said his mission is to rescue and rebuild the state, which is a passion that is driven towards creating an enabling environment for youths as job providers, rather than as job seekers.
Meanwhile, members of the Alumni Association of Comprehensive High School, Erusu Akoko, have urged the people to support the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Dr Olu Agunloye.
The association’s spokesman, Olusegun Fagbemi, made the appeal yesterday in Ilorin, after a meeting of its Kwara State chapter.
