
Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the security challenges across the globe require adequately trained personnel for better security outcomes.
Tunji-Ojo stated this at a training of National Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel on inter-agency collaboration, organised by a German foundation, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), in Abuja.
Represented by the Commandant General, (CG), NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Audi, the minister appealed to the participants to “garner enough experience from the workshop and justify their selection by ensuring that the outcome of the workshop impacts in them the required skills, so they can also train others effectively.”
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NSCDC, Babawale Afolabi, Audi while appreciating KAS for the training, the minister asserted: “The security challenges across the globe require that personnel are well equipped with adequate training, which will help them to perform their duties effectively for better security outcomes.”
