Senate President Bukola Saraki has constituted a six-man conference committee on the amendment of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) act.

Saraki listed the names of the committee members as Senators Samuel Anyanwu (PDP, Imo East), Monsurat Sunmonu (APC, Oyo Central), Barau Jibrin (APC, Kano North), Yusuf Abubakar Yusuf (APC, Taraba Central), Peter Nwaoboshi (PDP, Delta North) and Suleiman Adokwe (PDP, Nasarawa South).

He asked members of the committee to meet with their House of Representatives counterparts to iron out the grey areas in the draft law.

The panel is expected to harmonise the areas rejected by the Senate before a clean copy is forwarded to the president for assent.
The Senate had rejected the amendment of section 1(2) carried out by the House, which says that the entry age of the chairman and members of the Bureau be reduced from 50 to 30 years.
