Servicom: Civil servants charged on efficient services
The Director, Servicom Reform Coordination and Service Improvement Department, Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Mrs Dorcas Areyemier, has urged civil servants to be efficient in their services.
Speaking, yesterday, at a three-day Rotational Parastatal Sericom Unit Network meeting, with the theme: ‘Improve Performance in the Workplace,’ organised by Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority, in Minna, the Niger State capital, she told them to work in line with rules of engagement.
She noted that Servicom has come to stay, as it seeks to empower public officers to be alive to their responsibilities through providing improved, efficient, timely and transparent service, as well as exhibiting good conduct.
Areyemier noted that people, who complained of bad and poor services, forgot that service is a collective responsibility.
She said: “I want to encourage us to be focused in our service delivery, bearing in mind our vision, mission and statement to serve the populace, using our service charter as a yardstick.”
