Several trapped as three-storey building collapses in Lagos
A three-storey building has collapsed in Ebutte Meta, Lagos State
The building located on Ibadan Street reportedly caved in minutes before 10 pm on Sunday.
Occupants of the building were said be trapped as of the time of filing this report.
Men of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency are already at the scene.
In a video shared on social media, a large crowd was seen in front of the building with first respondents helping to search for survivors.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) in an update said: “An alert of a collapsed of a three storey building by 32 Ibadan Street, Ebute Meta was received at 9:48.p.m, Sunday with Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service already at the scene.
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on New Media, Jubril Gawat said: “Search and rescue ongoing with updates to follow, please.”
