Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State was on Wednesday honoured by the Nigeria Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) with a merit award for his contributions to the promotion and development of veterinary practices and livestock development in the state.

Presenting the award at NVMA 52nd National Annual Congress in Port Harcourt, the national president, Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, said the merit award was in recognition of Shettima’s contributions to the development of livestock and veterinary services in the last three years.
