
Osuagwu was murdered while driving his CRV Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to work. He was a lecturer in the Department of Public Administration of the Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo and the Director of Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
His lifeless body was found in a bush path, according to sources, after wards before it was taken to Holy Rosary morgue, Emekuku, Owerri North Local Council.
According to a statement signed by the Rector of the Polytechnic, Rev. Fr. Wence C. Madu, the deceased’s body would be taken from the Holy Rosary Morgue, Emekuku, Owerri North Local Council to Institute of Philosophy, Maryland, Nekede, Owerri West Imo State on Friday, September 4 for lying-in-state at 8.00 a.m.
It would be followed by a funeral mass at 10.00 a.m and interment at noon.The statement ended “Goodbye, until we meet on the resurrection day”.
The deceased, The Guardian gathered, had held many positions in the church. He was in the United States for more than a decade for pastoral work. Colleages and friends have continued to pay glowing tributes to him.
