SLG Fetes Ikeja residents with food items, others

The Secretary of Ikeja Local Council, Akeem Olalekan Dauda, has distributed food items to support some residents through community leaders across the six political wards in the council area.

Beneficiaries of the food items donated during the Christmas celebration include traditional rulers, party leaders, as well as council and ward executives. The food items were distributed to six community heads (Baales), 23 apex leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council, 24 APC chairpersons across the council and six ward executive, former council executive, former councilors, former ward chairmen, former council executive and other categories of leaders in Ikeja Local Council.

According to Dauda, who doubles as the Secretary of Conference of Secretaries across 57 councils and LCDAs in Lagos State, the gesture is aimed at supporting leaders and members of the party during the Christmas and New Year celebration.

Dauda prayed for peace and stability during the Christmas and New Year celebration.

, enjoining community leaders and residents in the council to continue to support the administration of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the bid to spread good governance across the nooks and crannies of Lagos State.
