Soludo appoints eight more officials into his administration

Anambra State governor, Charles Soludo, has appointed eight more officials into his administration to continue work in earnest and move the state forward.

A statement signed by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Paul Nwosu, in Awka, yesterday, said Soludo has approved the following appointments: Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, MD/CEO ICT Agency; Chike Anyaonu, MD/CEO Anambra State Housing Development Corporation and Joe Anatune, MD/CEO Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency.

Others appointed are Okey Ezeobi, GM/CEO Anambra State Bureau of Public Procurement; Christian Aburime, Press Secretary Media; Tochukwu Nweke, Special Adviser Legal; Dr. Nelson Omenugha Special Adviser Youth Empowerment Programme and Bob-Manuel Udoku, Special Adviser Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism.

The governor had, last month, announced the appointment of Chief of Staff to the governor, Ernest Ezeajuyi; Chairman, Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), Richard Nwora Madiebo, and Special Adviser on Security, AVM Ben Chiobi (Rtd.)

It would be recalled that barely six hours after his inauguration, Soludo had announced the appointment of three persons into his administration, including the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Osita Chukwulobelu; the Accountant General, Dr. Chukwudi Okoli, and the Deputy Chief Of Staff/State Chief of Protocol, Chinedu Nwoye.

This brings the total number of appointments by Soludo to 14 officers to pilot government affairs in Anambra State.

Soludo had also appointed 20 Commissioners and 15 Special Advisers into his administration.

The Commissioners include: Mr. Ifeatu Onejeme, Finance; Prof. Ofonze Amucheazi, Lands; Ifeanyi Okoma, Works and Infrastructure; Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, Budget and Economic Planning; Dr. Afam Obidike, Health, Mr. Patrick Agha, Youth Development and Mrs. Ifeyinwa Obinabo, Women and Social Welfare.

Others are: Dr. Obinna Ngonadi, Commerce and Industry; Julius Chukwuemeka, Power and Water Resources; Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Education; Mr. Paul Nwosu, Information; Dr. Forester Ihejiofor, Agriculture; Patricia Igwebuike, Transport.

The rest are, Felix Odimegwu, Environment; Mr. Chikodi Anara, Homeland Affairs; Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; Mr. Collins Nwabunwanne, Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs; Mr. Donatus Onyeji, Culture, Entertainment and Tourism; Anthony Ifeanya, Petroleum and Mineral Resources; and Paulinus Onyeka, Housing.

The Commissioners and Special Advisers were all confirmed by the state House of Assembly last month.
