Women Radio 91.7FM, in collaboration with CJID, has announced the inaugural AI Radio Summit scheduled for November 16, 2024, in Lagos. Themed, “Smart Radio: Leveraging AI for Next-Gen Broadcasting,” the event will bring together thought leaders from the AI technology and broadcast sectors. 
  
Speaking ahead of the summit, the General Manager, Women Radio 91.7FM, Oghenevwairhe Ofigo, said the summit would redefine how the Nigerian broadcasting industry would leverage AI for smarter and more efficient communication.  
  
“The summit will foster discussions and collaboration in the development of AI into content creation and servicing the broadcast audience through panel discussions, workshops and exhibitions that will equip broadcasters with the tools and knowledge to harness AI for the future of radio,” she said.  
  
She added that it would showcase the possibilities and creative innovations for radio stations to enhance operations and engage more deeply with their audiences, saying: “We have embraced the transformative power of AI, making it a vital part of programming and operations and we are eager to share our experiences and learn from others.”
