The Council congratulated the Governor of Delta State and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Vice Presidential Candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa, on his conferment of the National Honours of the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON), and appreciated him for increasing workers’ monthly stipend from N5,000 to N10,000 and for increasing the number of beneficiaries from 12,000 to 20,000, saying that the gesture would boost the economic wellbeing of beneficiaries.

The meeting was attended by traditional rulers from across the state.
