The lingering crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State, seems far from over.

A day after the Ladi Adebutu-led faction announced the suspension of seven members of the faction loyal to Senator Buruji Kashamu, including the state chairman, Mr. Bayo Dayo, the Buruji faction, yesterday, announced the expulsion of four members of the Adebutu faction.

At a press conference in Abeokuta, yesterday, Dayo, the factional chairman referred to the Adebutu faction (including former governor, Gbenga Daniel) as “dissidents” who have never been loyal to the party.

He thereafter announced the expulsion of Daniel, Adebutu, Sikirulai Ogundele and Tolu Bankole.

According to him, the continuous membership of the four would be inimical to the sustenance and progress of the party.

Brandishing a High Court ruling, which he claimed confirmed his faction as the authentic party exco in the state, Dayo insisted that by the party’s constitution, the Adebutu’s faction does not have the power to suspend them.
