The Tech Women Fest 2025 held on Saturday at Solution Arena, Onipanu, Lagos, convened a dynamic assembly of women innovators, founders, and technology professionals to celebrate creativity, inclusion, and African-led solutions.
With the theme “Tech for Impact: Innovating Solutions for Africa’s Challenges,” the event spotlighted the ingenuity and resilience of women leading the continent’s digital transformation.
As media partners, Pressdia and the Talented Women Network (TWN) played a central role in amplifying the energy, ideas, and achievements of participants, ensuring the stories reached audiences far beyond the event venue. From capturing keynote moments to hosting insightful interviews, both organisations helped elevate the voices of women driving impact through technology.
Olanrewaju Alaka, CEO of Laerryblue Media, parent company of Pressdia, said: “Seeing the room come alive with talent and ambition reminds us why we do what we do. Our goal is to make sure these stories don’t just inspire those present but resonate across Africa and beyond.”
Oluwatoyin Abioye, Founder of NezaTech Africa, remarked: “Tech Women Fest is about connection and empowerment. Partnering with Pressdia and TWN allowed us to share the brilliance of these women innovators with a wider audience, and the impact was immediate.”
Moyosolaoluwa Awokoya, PR and Marketing Manager and attendee, noted: “The session on ‘Women Founders & Leaders: Pioneering Innovation & Navigating the Startup Ecosystem for Greater Access’ was a highlight for me. It offered real, practical insights on building and scaling businesses while fostering networks that truly support women in tech.”
Another participant, Chinara Okeke, a Lagos-based software engineer, added: “It was inspiring to hear firsthand from women turning ideas into solutions that impact communities. The conversations and networking moments made me feel part of something bigger — a movement driving change across Africa.”
Workshops on inclusive tech leadership also inspired dialogue and collaboration across industries, reinforcing the role of women in building Africa’s digital future.
As the event drew to a close, Tech Women Fest 2025 stood out not only for its celebration of innovation but also for strengthening a growing network of African women committed to transforming the continent through technology.
