Owing to the difficulties he encountered while trying to obtain his transcript, he thought of a seamless information management system that could ensure improved storage, preservation and retrieval of academic records.
In 2010, this experience birthed Krystal Digital- a rapidly growing educational technology that focuses on the creation, development, and deployment of customized and service-oriented software applications for Nigerian educational institutions.
Today, Krystal Digital stands as a world-class Edtech company blazing the trail in the IT sector with an array of accolades accorded to it. At the Nigeria Technology Award in 2017, Krystal Digital won the award for Tech Company of the year. In 2018, it also received the award for the Most Enterprising ICT Organization at the Nigeria Entrepreneur Award Ceremony.

In 2019, Mr Ogunsemo was distinguished as the Most Influential Global Young Leader at Africa Europe Youth Leadership Summit in Gambia. That same year, he was enlisted as one of the 100 Most Influential Young Africans and 100 Most Influential Young Nigerians respectively.
Earlier this year, he was featured in the Forbes Africa Undiscovered Series for Nigeria as part of an elite selection of Nigerians who have been critical in rebuilding and contributing to the national growth. He was profiled as the future of Nigeria’s digital transformation, and this spurred his statement, “we grew our solutions organically from zero into one of the most profitable IT education solutions in Nigeria”. He also stated that innovation is deep-rooted in his DNA, hence the continuity to keep investing in technologies that transform the educational space.
Amongst his innovations are; Myskool Portal, responsible for facilitating operations in educational institutions by providing a coherent payment process, Inspire and Ignite, an educational tool that caters to the needs of the visually impaired and enables inclusive access and self-paced learning solutions for students in elementary and secondary schools. Also, partnering with Microsoft led to the emergence of Microsoft Imagine Academy, which provides high-quality education training resources on Microsoft technologies to assist institutions, faculty, and staff, as well as enrolled students, in achieving their academic and career goals.
It is no surprise to see the vibrant and innovative under-40 CEO enlisted among the Choiseul 100 Africa 2022. The Institut Choiseul, founded in 2010, is a Paris-based organization devoted to the analysis of current strategic concerns and worldwide economic issues. In 2014, the Choiseul 100 Africa ranking was created to highlight the potential of the continent’s young economic leaders, and to develop a network for these young leaders.

The Choiseul 100 Africa is a yearly survey carried out by the Institut Choiseul to highlight and rank African leaders aged 40 and below who play a significant role in the continent’s development and have continued to adapt their governance models to capitalize on the prospects presented by the world of tomorrow. As stated by the founder, Dr Pascal Lorot, “the Choiseul 100 Africa aims to shed light upon the young men and women who are successful and have the ambition of lifting Africa to its highest level of economical, societal, and cultural development”.
This year being the 9th edition of the Choiseul Africa ranking, there is an additional list of 100 laureates. Dr Lorot explained the impossibility of showcasing all talents in the continent with just 100 names, hence the addition. The Nigerian entrepreneur and founder of Krystal Digital, Mr Ogunsemo, ranks “top 200” Choiseul 100 Africa.
Together with Mr Ogunsemo, leaders across various sectors in Nigeria were listed. Of those listed include Vice-President of Africa Finance Corporation, Mohammed Usman Abdul-Razaq, Chairwoman of Abumet Nigeria, Belinda Disu, and Chairman of AW Network, Adebola Williams; amongst others
This achievement is worth celebrating as Mr Ogunsemo who is known to not rest on his oars is set to keep working towards greater achievements. As he stated in one of his interviews, “ we are constantly rethinking how we envision and deliver our solutions. We are very much in touch with the pace of innovation globally, and where we are not leading new ideas and disruptions, we would be certain to be in touch with the trail”.
