The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has commissioned several educational projects worth N866,788,454.84 in Akamkpa Local Council, Cross River State, as part of efforts to enhance learning and academic excellence on campuses.

The commissioning took place yesterday, with the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonny Echono, urging the beneficiary institution to adopt a maintenance culture to ensure the longevity of the newly built structures.

The projects include a Human Kinetics and Health Education building, a School of Education building, and a Department of Cultural and Creative Arts structure.

These initiatives were prioritised by the college to address infrastructural gaps and improve the teaching, learning, and research environment for students, lecturers, and non-teaching staff.

Echono stated that the total cost of the three projects amounted to N866,788,454.84, with the School of Education building funded under the 2018 Special High Impact Intervention at N345,728,721.00.
