The She Tank distances itself from New MENtality season

She Tank

Global feminist culture lab, The She Tank, has clarified its role in the future of the talk series MENtality with Ebuka, stating that it will not be involved in upcoming seasons of the show.

In a statement released recently, the organisation explained that it co-conceived, funded and produced the pilot season of the series alongside media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and EME. According to the group, the project was designed to challenge harmful masculinity norms and encourage conversations that promote gender equality.

The She Tank noted that while it remains proud of the impact and conversations generated by the first season, future editions of the programme will move forward independently under Ebuka and his team.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation, Blessing Omakwu, said culture remains a powerful tool for social change and expressed hope that the show would continue to inspire meaningful discussions around masculinity and gender issues.

Omakwu added that the organisation was proud to have laid the foundation for the platform and wished the producers success in future seasons.

The clarification comes as anticipation builds for a new season of the series.
