Miscreants moving around with the chairman of Alimosho Local Council area, Akinpelu Ibrahim Johnson, have assaulted The Guardian journalist, Eniola Daniel, forcing him to delete footages.

The journalist was at Santos Estate, Akowonjo, Alimosho council area, Lagos State to monitor enforcement of a purported 2003 court judgement between Alhaji Ashafa Agundare and two others.
  
The chairman had stormed the area  some minutes past 3.p.m on Friday, July 31, 2026 and the journalist introduced himself and he asked that they should take a walk around the area to see the level of damages to buildings in the area. While videoing the walk, one of his men asked that the action should be stopped immediately and the journalist obeyed. While speaking further with the chairman, a thug around 5.2 in height dropped the phone and landed punches on the left ear of the journalist.
  
The chairman, Johnson watched on alongside police officers.
Another thug simply said: “O fe ri oga tiwa fin, a ma pa si bi, ko de si nkan to ma sele (How dare you disrespect our own boss, we will kill you hear and nothing will happen).”
  
While he was there, the thugs continued to assault others as other journalists on the scene hid for safety.
  
When The Guardian was speaking to him on the assault, he turned a deaf ear
