The Iconic Brand Africa (TIBA) has launched a Mini-MBA programme for African leaders and industry professionals.
The launched 12-week executive mini-MBA programme, described as a “Certification Pathway” for an effective career and professional life, alongside the academy’s Job-Ready Certification programme graduation ceremony, was held on Saturday in Lagos, under the theme ‘Building. Becoming. Belonging’.
The Founder of TIBA, Omobabinrin Adeola Osideko, stated that the academy’s programmes are instituted to equip professionals with practical, industry-relevant skills that prepare them for success in business, leadership and the workplace.
Osideko said the mini-MBA is designed for CEOs, founders, entrepreneurs, managers, senior executives, industry leaders, and career professionals seeking practical leadership and business management skills.
She added that the programme will offer industry-relevant learning, real-world case studies, expert faculty, networking opportunities, career support and an internationally recognised ACTD USA-accredited certificate.
The event also featured TIBA’s community annual meet-up and the academy’s Job-Ready Certification eight-week programme graduation ceremony.
Victoria Ogbujah, in her keynote address titled ‘Keep Building’, challenged the graduates to remain focused and not allow distractions, criticism, limited support, or temporary obstacles to pull them away from building their dreams.
“You may not have all the expertise that your industry or work desires today, but you already possess enough knowledge to begin. What matters most is remaining focused. Continue to learn and build until your vision becomes reality,” Ogbujah said.
Osideko, congratulating the graduating students, reminded them that graduation marks the beginning, not the end, of their professional journey.
“Move beyond earning certificates by demonstrating competence, creating value, and applying the knowledge you have acquired to solve real-world problems,” she said.
Industry experts Tomi Akinwale, Oluwakemi Osagbodje, and Tunde Wale Temowo, in a panel session, shared insights on navigating today’s competitive business landscape, emphasising the importance of knowledge and capacity building before venturing into any business or profession.
The panellists encouraged the graduating students, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and professionals, to view setbacks not as the end of the journey but as stepping stones towards growth, resilience and long-term success.
During a fireside conversation with TIBA’s boss, she shared her entrepreneurial journey while building TIBA Academy. Stressing that learning should never stop, she added, “The day we stop learning is the day we start dying.”
Teachers and facilitators of the Job-Ready Certification programme were recognised for their commitment to the students’ development, and some outstanding cohorts received awards of excellence
