Tinubu appoints governing council chairmen, members of federal varsities, others

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of individuals to the governing councils of some federal universities and tertiary institutions across the country.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in Abuja, yesterday.

Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State, has Temi Harriman as the Chairman, while other members include Adeola Adeogun, Benedict Aguele, Freeman Kasa and Babangida Abdullahi.

For the Nigerian University of Science and Technology, Abuja, Rabe Bala was appointed the Chairman, while the members are Akinola Fagbemi, Rakiatou Bagnou, Alwel Egwurugu, and Femi Osabinu.

In the case of the Federal University of Agriculture, Bassam-Biri, Bayelsa State, Bram Baifa was appointed the Chairman, while the members include Richard Odigbo, Yomi Johnson, Fatima Owuna and Christy Omoruyi.

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Kwale, Delta State, has Ahmadu Salisu as the Chairman, and the members are Aragbaye Gbolagunte, Talba Bauchi, Akaninodo Adekunle and Chibuike Ikenga.

For the Federal University of Medical Sciences, Katsina State, Habib Ibrahim is the Chairman, while members are Yau Abdulkadir Shehu, Kaka Ibrahim, and Abbah Isijola Rasaki.

Other appointments are for the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, Adamawa State, which has Rukayyatu Gurin as the Chairman, while the members are Peter Dogara, Amina Ndala, Owolabi Oseni and Olufemi Lawson.

For Admiralty University, Ibusa, Delta State, Yusuf Mohammed is the Chairman, while the members are Sani Ndanusa, Abdul Oroh, Mary Okaba Agbo and Omasan Agbajoh.

Labiru Musa Kafur was appointed the Chairman of the Nigeria French Language Village, Badagry, Lagos State, while the members are Ibitoye Victor Philips, Bamgbose S., Musa Aya and Ogenyi Okpokwu Emmanuel.
National Institute of Nigerian Languages, Aba, Abia State, has Victor Ukaogo as the Chairman, and the members are Anjare Samuel, David Ismaila, Adimchinaka Onwukwe, and Ify Okoye.

Nigerian Army University, Biu, Borno State, has Awal Morike as the Chairman, while Mohammed Umar, Monday Nanza, Mohammed Audu and Sheriff Abdullahi are members.

For the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Usman Shanawa is the Chairman, and Kabiru Yahaya, Chinenye Moses, Uyiosasere Ekhosuehi, and Joshua Adewale are members.

The Nigeria Arabic Language Village, Gamboru Ngala, Borno State, has Ahmed Wambai as Chairman, while the members are Gazali Suleiman, Imam Rahaman, Isah Kwayami, and Mohammed Mamman.

For the National Mathematical Centre, Sheda, Kwali, Abuja, Edna Njoku is the Chairman, while Kovie Epetutu, Oyinkasola Okewoye, Ibrahim Musa, and Sarah Tukura are members.
