President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, on his 60th birthday, marked today, October 1, 2025.

The President described Abbas, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, as a dependable partner in governance and in the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Highlighting the Speaker’s leadership, President Tinubu noted that under Abbas, the House of Representatives has passed several impactful pieces of legislation.

He commended his “deep knowledge, wisdom, and openness,” which have enhanced legislative work.

The President said, “Speaker Abbas has displayed uncommon capacity as a leader of equals. His commitment to integrity, excellence, and selfless service has been instrumental in maintaining stability in the House.”

The President also rejoiced with the Speaker’s family, friends, associates, and constituents, saying, “I congratulate the people of Zaria Federal Constituency in Kaduna State for electing Abbas, who has represented them diligently since 2011.”

Tinubu prayed for many more years of good health and greater service to the nation for the Speaker.
