The late matriarch, who was aged 93, passed away on Saturday night, leaving behind a legacy of selflessness and community service. In a statement yesterday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described HajiyaSafara’u as a woman, who nurtured generations of leaders, and who went on to excel in various fields.

Also, the Southern Governors Forum (SGF) has condoled with their condolence. In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Forum and Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, yesterday, the forum said Barebari’s passing was bound to be heartbreaking.

The body, noted, however, that the fulfilled life she lived, especially in her service to her community and the people of Katsina State as a whole, was more than enough consolation.
