The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has said that the president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will do everything within his power to unite the nation.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu the winner of the presidential election after he polled the highest number of votes during the February 25 poll.

The APC flag bearer polled 8,794,726 votes to defeat Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who had 6,984,520 votes, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) got 6,101,533 votes to come third while the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso garnered 1,496,687 votes.

And speaking with Arise Television on Wednesday, APC chieftain, Morka said that the Tinubu administration will be inclusive.

He also said that Tinubu was aware of the division in the country and that the former Lagos State governor would be coming in with a sense of duty to address the problem.

According to Morka, Tinubu’s plan to unite the nation would be exemplified by the appointments he would be making as soon as he takes over as president from Muhammadu Buhari.

“Tinubu will be coming in as President with a sense of duty. He knows that he is coming in as a president when the country is having a big challenge of being together,” Morka said.

“He will be President for all Nigerians including Peter Obi, this will be exemplified by the diversity and speed of his appointments to hit the ground running effectively.”

The ruling party spokesman also insisted that the Labour Party candidate Peter Obi should allow the law to take its course.

“Peter Obi is really crossing the line, the campaigns are over, he needs to relax and allow his lawyers to handle his case at the tribunal, accusing the APC of attacking his personal life is ridiculous,” Morka said.

“Obi has been way too sanctimonious for someone who volunteered to venture into politics and run for the presidency.

“He did not win the elections, he came a distant third, and he has made a political capital of exploiting people’s vulnerabilities.”
