Tope Mark-Odigie champions change with TRANSFORM

Tope Mark-Odigie is a woman of many roles—wealth and investment coach, real estate entrepreneur, communication expert, and now, a published author. But beneath all these titles is one driving force: the passion to help people unlock their full potential and build the life they deserve. With her debut book TRANSFORM, Tope takes her message to a wider audience, sharing not only practical tools for personal growth but also her personal journey of rising above limits.

“The inspiration behind writing this book was a strong desire to transfer knowledge,” she explains. “So many authors have shaped my life through their books, and I felt it was time to give back. Many of those authors are not Nigerians, and I began to realize how powerful it would be for people here—people who have walked in my shoes—to read a story that reflects their own realities.”

Tope believes that storytelling is a form of empowerment. Her aim with TRANSFORM is to reach anyone who has ever felt sidelined or silenced, anyone told to “calm down” or “stay small.” She wants them to know that they can dream, act, and grow. “I want people to see that it’s possible to transform your life,” she says. “Your starting point doesn’t determine your destination.”

The book, as she describes it, is a blueprint for change. It’s about rewriting your life’s narrative and stepping into a reality you truly desire. “TRANSFORM is not just a motivational book,” she explains. “It’s a practical guide to help you flip the script—no matter what background you’re coming from or how stuck you feel.”

One of the central messages of the book is about breaking self-imposed limits. Tope believes many people live below their potential because they’ve internalized false beliefs about what’s possible. “There’s no lid on your growth except the one you put on yourself,” she says. “I want readers to walk away from this book knowing that they are allowed to dream bigger and do more.”

Balancing the demands of writing a book with running a successful real estate business wasn’t easy, but Tope found a way through discipline, faith, and delegation. “I believe in multitasking, but I also understand the power of delegation,” she explains. “I had to plan intentionally, manage my energy, and rely on a strong team. That’s how I was able to run my business and still pour my heart into this book.”

Tope’s success, both in business and in personal development, has been influenced by some of the world’s most respected authors and thinkers. She lists Sam Adeyemi, Brian Tracy, John C. Maxwell, Napoleon Hill, and Norbert Green among her most impactful mentors, even if some of them mentored her only through the pages of their books.

“Sam Adeyemi taught me the value of starting with what you have. He’s a brilliant writer who simplifies complex ideas and brings transformation through clear thinking. His recent book, SHIFT, is exactly what it promises—it shifted my mindset,” she reflects.

From Brian Tracy, she learned about self-improvement, time management, and goal-setting. “He helped me realize how structure can support success,” she adds. John Maxwell’s teachings on leadership taught her how to influence and serve others effectively. Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich, opened her mind to the power of thought and visualization.

But one author in particular helped Tope rethink how expertise is formed, Norbert Green. “His work taught me that you don’t need years of experience to be valuable. Research, reflection, and clarity can also make you an expert. That was liberating for me,” she says.

Among female writers, Tope holds Nigerian architect and author Jumoke Adenowo in high regard. “Her books are spiritually rich and intellectually sound. She writes with a depth that speaks directly to a woman’s purpose and inner power. Her work helped shape my journey.”

With TRANSFORM, Tope now stands on her own platform as a source of inspiration. But she knows there are many aspiring writers still waiting in the wings, hesitant, unsure, or overwhelmed by the publishing process. Her advice is clear and passionate: start preparing now.

“Don’t wait for a perfect moment,” she urges. “Begin where you are. Write your truth. Your voice matters. Your story is a big deal. Even if you think it’s small, even if you think no one will read it, it can change a life. And most importantly, keep building your work while you wait for the opportunity. Preparation is how you meet destiny.”

Tope’s voice in TRANSFORM is both comforting and commanding. She writes not from theory but from experience, she’s lived the journey she’s asking others to begin. Through her words, she’s showing that transformation is not a far-fetched dream, but a series of intentional steps toward becoming more of who you were always meant to be.

“This book is my gift to anyone who wants to rise,” she says. “I’m not saying it’s easy, but I’m saying it’s possible. With faith, focus, and the right mindset, you can truly transform.”
