Trump invites Pastor Kumuyi to presidential inauguration
United States President-elect Donald Trump has invited the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, to his second inauguration in Washington D.C on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Trump’s invitation to Kumuyi was confirmed by A. Larry Ross Communications, a leading U.S.-based public relations firm.
According to Ross Communications, Kumuyi’s invitation reflects Trump’s desire to have globally influential spiritual leaders at the historic event, highlighting the significance of faith in his leadership journey.
Pastor Kumuyi reacting to his invitation, lauded Trump for “his bold commitment to defending Christian values and championing international religious freedom throughout his first term in office.”
Kumuyi also praised Trump for his efforts to strengthen faith-based initiatives and prioritize issues that resonate deeply with the global Christian community.
According to Kumuyi, these initiatives have not only bolstered religious liberty in the United States (US) but also sparked important conversations on the need for moral leadership worldwide.
“During this visit to Washington, D.C., Pastor Kumuyi is expected to engage in a series of high-profile meetings with U.S. lawmakers, prominent church leaders, and influential media representatives,” Ross Communications said.
Pastor Kumuyi’s invitation is coming shortly after Nigerian gospel singer and pastor, Nathaniel Bassey, also said he had been invited to the same upcoming US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast.
