On Monday, March 18, ARD embarked on strike demanding “2014, 2016 skipping arrears.”

Yesterday, the MDCAN, which was operating skeletal services in the hospital, resumed its pending industrial action, blaming the management’s refusal to respond to its case.

In a statement signed by the chairman, Prof. Usang Usang, and secretary, Dr. Henry Okpa, it accused the management of diverting the money meant for their welfare.

“Arising from an emergency general meeting of MDCAN, UCTH chapter, on Monday, April 8, 2019 to re-appraise the pending strike by the association, members expressed utmost displeasure at the total disregard by UCTH management of the association’s welfare.”
