ENUGU State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwaunyi has called on Nigerians and the people of the state to be more prayerful in order for the nation to realise its aspirations in the New Year.
In his New Year message yesterday, Ugwaunyi stated that the challenges of the economic realities would demand that Nigerians rededicate themselves and their energies to the task of nation building.
The governor noted that Nigerians needed a deep sober reflection, as they embrace 2016 in order to tackle the myriads of socio-economic problems that confronted the people in 2015.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Uwakwe Abugu, the governor commended the citizens for bearing heavy burden and challenges brought by the prevailing economic situation.
Reassuring the people of Enugu that his administration’s actions would always be guided by the fear of God, Ugwuanyi implored the people to replicate the unprecedented support showed him at the polls in 2015 as his administration battles to fulfill it’s electoral mandate in the face of the present economic crunch.
