Use remaining months to ameliorate hardship, Bishop charges Buhari
ARCHBISHOP of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province and Bishop, Enugu Diocese, (Anglican Communion), Most. Rev. Emmanuel Chukwuma, has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to use remaining months of his administration to ameliorate current hardship faced by Nigerians.
He also asked Federal Government to halt ongoing increment in fees by higher institutions, saying the development is creating more pains on Nigerians.
Chukwuma, who accused the Buhari administration as one the most corrupt in the history of the country, insisted that he could begin to change the perception of Nigerians on him by introducing workable schemes that would cushion hardships.
Speaking to journalists, in Enugu, yesterday, Chukwuma rated the Buhari administration poorly in the anti-corruption fight, adding that he has disappointed the people that voted him into office.
He said it is saddening that a government that was voted into power based on its promise of fighting corruption, and improve the economy, had worsened the state of affairs in the country.
